The Q2 Studio from Wrocław is preparing an architectural design of Polifunctional Center which will be developed at Olimpijska St near Spodek. The investor (Rank Progress) is planned to build a multifuction facility with 93 000 sq.m rentable space. The property profile is apartments, hotel, offices and retail. Currently, Rank Progress is starting to obtain administrative consents.
The Polish Centrum Development & Investments co-partnership sold its “Pedant” department store at 3 Maja Street to dutch-based company Redevco Polska for EUR 4 million. This 6-storey building with 2 043 sq. metres of rental space is currently occupied by Deichmann (1 244 sq. m), National Chamber of Architects and Learning System Poland (799 sq. m together). The seller was represented by Cushman&Wakefield.
Katowice has one of the best road systems in Poland. As the main Katowice’s route connects between East and West, the City has two expressways on this axis – A4 and DTŚ. In a central section of Katowice, the DTŚ consists of two streets – Chorzowska St and Roździeńskiego Av. Katowice Airport, the second polish biggest regional airport haven’t got own logotype. Until now. A competitive tender was won by the advertising agency Mamastudio from Warsaw. Three of the logo’s colours symbolize air-market segments – business flights (blue), charter flights (yellow) and low-cost flights (green).
On 22nd of December 2008, the Ministry of Infrastructure awarded “Symfonia” and its architects. The first-degree prize was given for the remarkable creative achievement as the unique architectural value, the consequence in bringing together the past and the present design, and the efficient use of the conservatorial art.
