According to the contract, Knight Frank will provide several center management services to achieve highest and best use of the retail asset. The range of services includes the preparation and implementation of financial aspects of the opening, organization of tender procedures for services, advertising and promotion of the opening, employment and human resource management as well as a 3-year plan of promotion activities.
The new contract is in fact a next step of the cooperation between Griffin Real Estate and Knight Frank – the real estate consultancy has previously been engaged by the developer in the process of operational expenditures estimation of Supersam.
„The cooperation we have established with Supersam is unique as it refers to the strategic attitude to increase the capital value of the property before its opening. These activities have been underestimated in Poland and in most cases were only focused on technical and operational aspects to the exclusion of the strategic criteria of the asset value creation. As the asset manager we are going to plan and coordinate not only a piece of the project but also a few interrelated fields managed in a long term perspective” – said Agnieszka Mielcarz, head of the retail asset management department at Knight Frank, who will be responsible for the project management.
Headquartered in London, Knight Frank is one of the largest, high-profile commercial real estate consultancies operating across the globe. It hires over 120 professionals in seven Polish cities. The Katowice office of Knight Frank is located in the Goeppert-Mayer building of GPP Business Park at 33 Konduktorska St.
Supersam is being built at 6 Piotra Skargi St. in the center of Katowice. Approximately 21 000 sq. meters of retail and office space will be delivered in autumn 2015.
