A conference “Silesia Metropolis – Investments and Energy” organized by the City of Katowice, the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland and the Metropolitan Association of Upper Silesia will be held on 17th of September 2010 in the “Opal” Conference Hall of the angelo Hotel (24 Sokolska Street).
As can be read in an official description, the conference is aimed at demonstrating the increasing investment potential of Katowice and the Agglomeration in the light of the Metropolitan Association of Upper Silesia. It will present Katowice and the Municipal Association of Upper Silesia as an example of planned and successfully managed metropolises, discussing the need of metropolis development planning and further strengthening international cooperation – especially with US partners.
A trade mission from Colorado will participate in the conference, presenting business opportunities awaiting in Colorado and searching for partners in Poland.
There will also be presented the energy potential of Metropolis and its role in securing energy for Poland. A one panel of the conference was dedicated to energy issues, and representatives of the energy sector as well as important decision makers were invited.
