On 4th of February, the Silesian Museum signed a contract for a first stage of preparatory works for construction of the new Museum’s seat in the former “Katowice” coal mine’s area.
The works include a demolishment of existing buildings, moving of groundwater’s main sewer, preparatory works for development of internal fire-extinguishing road and completion of breast walls. A total value of the contract exceeds PLN 3,05 million. The works will be conducted by “Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Zmechanizowanych Budostal-8 S.A.” and are scheduled for completion until May 2011.
The new Silesian Museum’s seat will cost PLN 324 million and will be ready in late 2012.
