The Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice chose a prime contractor for construction works on its new scientific, research and cultural complex to be located between Raciborska and Koszarowa streets.
There were eleven bidders competing for the contract. The most advantageous offer was made by Dombud which amounts to PLN 39,3 million. “None of the ten remaining competitors has filed a complaint from the decision of the Academy. That means we are going to sign the contract with Dombud” – said Adrian Urbanek, press spokesman of the Academy. The both parties will sign the agreement in March.
The project will be co-financed within the Regional Operational Programme of the Silesian Voivodeship. The new educational building will consist of three facilities forming an internal yard. The complex will cover a usable area of 12 500 sq. meters. The construction work will take 20 months.
