European Economic Congress 2011

PTWP SA Group, an organizer of the European Economic Congress (EEC), has begun arrangements for the third edition of the event. As it was in the previous years, this largest business congress in Central Europe will be supervised by the Organizational Committee – Patronage Council, under the honorary chairmanship of Jerzy Buzek, current President of the European Parliament.

The third European Economic Congress in Katowice will be held between 16th and 18th of May 2011.

The issues to be analyzed and discussed next year at the Congress include some of the most significant problems of the global economy, the economic situation in Poland and in Europe, as well as the financial outlook of the European Union. The debate will also cover the energy-climate package, the Polish presidency of the EU, the transport policy, and the importance of innovation in the economy.

According to the organizer and a visible interest of participants, the prestige of guests, panelists, and field of meetings and debates will be greater than last year. The 2010 edition gathered over 4 000 participants, 60 thematic panels were joined by almost 700 panelists and more than 300 journalists.
