Mostostal Warszawa, a prime contractor of the Silesian Philharmonic’s extension, strongly advanced a construction work on the building last weeks. A raw structure of the new five-storey part was topped-out lately and works are carrying out in the interiors. Now, final construction works on a concrete structure are taking place at the back of the site. The Philharmonic will be extended by 2 066 sq. meters to reach the total surface of 5 252 sq. m.
The construction work is scheduled for completion in mid-2012. Thereafter, the Philharmonic will be equipped with furnitures and special fittings including organs made by renowned Karl Schuke Berliner Orgelbauwerkstaat from Germany and designed by professor Julian Gembalski.
A total value of the project is PLN 31,47 million. The architectural design was prepared by Consultor Sp. z o.o.
