TDJ Estate appointed Strabag as a prime contractor of the first stage of the .KTW office complex. Works are expected to be launched in the turn of June and July this year. Also, the investor has chosen Tebodin to provide a project management and investment supervision of .KTW I.
Strabag will be responsible for the construction work on the 3-storey underground car park (located under both buildings) and the first lower office facility. The building will reach 14 storeys and 66 meters in height. The excavation and underground floors will be erected in 12 months, another 12 months will take to build the 14 levels and to fit-out the building.
According to the press office of Strabag, the excavation will be 13,5 meters deep. Approximately 90 000 cubic meters of soil will be removed. But at first, a 325 meters long diaphragm wall has to be constructed. Then 31 000 cubic meters of concrete and 4 000 tons of reinforcing steel will be needed to raise the parking and the first building. Also, Strabag will use two tower cranes (79 and 85 meters in height) to conduct the works on .KTW I.
Construction start on the second building (133 meters, 31 storeys) will depend on the leasing progress of the first stage. The total commercial area of the complex will amount to 61 800 sq. meters. There will be spaces for 626 vehicles in the underground car park. The project has been designed by the Bytom-based Medusa Group architectural studio. .KTW will be erected at 1 Roździeńskiego Av.
