Law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel has said it advised Spanish retail developer Neinver in connection with the construction of a shopping and office centre fully integrated with the main Railway Station in Katowice. The French-based adviser said it had advised Neinver during tender proceedings and negotiations with PKP on an investment agreement for the construction of Katowice project.
The modernised Railway Station will become a part of a multifunctional structure comprising commercial and office space. Parts of the renewed transport network will be constructed below the new structure.
“This is a European-level investment. A combination of public purpose and commercial structures is typical for modern investments currently implemented across Europe, but in Poland it should still be considered a pioneering project. This is also the first railway station modernisation project implemented as a joint venture between PKP and a private investor,” said Andrzej Lulka, legal advisor and partner at Gide Loyrette Nouel in charge of the project.
The value of the transaction is estimated at PLN 1 bn (EUR 240 mln).
