Neinver and Inditex Group have concluded a lease agreement for nearly 4 000 sq. meters of retail space in Galeria Katowicka. The gallery’s first floor will feature stores of Zara, Pull and Bear, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho and Massimo Dutti.
Inditex is one of the world’s largest operators in the fashion industry. The chain has over 5 000 stores in 77 countries. The group comprises more than a hundred firms dealing with fashion design, production and distribution. The company embarked on its commercial activities in the Spanish city of La Coruňa when it opened the first Zara store in 1975. Currently Zara functions as the flagship brand of the group. Shops belonging to Inditex Group are found in retail districts of the world’s biggest cities. In Poland, where the first store was opened in 1999, Inditex now holds 117 retail points.
“Inditex Group brands are one of the most popular and most frequently purchased fashion names in Poland. Thus, they have to be part of Galeria Katowicka. Brands such as Zara or Stradivarius are very well-known and much liked by Polish consumers. They are also remarkable for their presence in the most prestigious and meticulously selected locations. We are positive that Galeria Katowicka is just the right spot for these renowned trade names,” – says Agata Brzezińska, Leasing Manager at Neinver Poland.
Galeria Katowicka is being constructed as part of an integrated transportation, retail and business center developed by Neinver in downtown Katowice. This is currently the company’s largest investment in Europe and one of the most prestigious developments in Poland. Except for a retail gallery, the project involves building the new Railway Station, an underground bus terminal, an office building and a network of road infrastructure which will connect the new center with adjacent streets. Nearly 200 000 sq. meters of usable space will be created with this project, 53 000 sq. meters of which is supposed to function as retail space – 250 stores or service points in Galeria Katowicka, the office building and the Station hall. Galeria Katowicka is scheduled for delivery in the Q2 of 2013. Cushman & Wakefield is responsible for commercializing the retail space.
