310 478 passengers were handled at the Katowice International Airport (KTW) last month what makes the number a new record for June.
The former record was 288 767 travelers handled that month. Also, when compared the score to the same month last year, there were 28 514 passengers more in June 2014 than in the same period in 2013 (10% growth). 152 519 travelers used charter flights what is 33% more (37 730 passengers) than in June 2013.
This summer flights’ network is the largest in the Katowice Airport’s history. Travelers can choose from 80 regular and charter directions, including 50 charter destinations to 15 countries on three continents. Also, KTW will be the only regional airport in Poland offering connection with Gambia and the Dominican Republic this winter.
The airport’s authorities expect, that approximately 2,7 million passengers will be handled from KTW this year making a new record.
