Louvre and Warimpex will expand two brands in Katowice

Louvre Hotels and Warimpex plans to develop a new hotel in Katowice within the framework of their joint venture, Louvre Warimpex Development. Several months ago the companies bought a plot near Silesia City Center where the project will be raised. The partners want to expand two hotel brands there.

“The building near Silesia City Center will comprise the Campanile and Première Classe brands. The hotel will feature approximately 200 rooms on 6-7 levels. It will cover about 8 000 sq. meters of usable area. We also plan a conference area in the building” – says Jacek Kociałkowski, Member of the Board at Louvre Warimpex Development.

The developer does not disclose a construction works’ start. “The investment process is progressing” – Jacek Kociałkowski added.

Both Louvre Hotels and Warimpex have a 50 percent share in the joint venture. Warimpex acts as a developer and Louvre Hotels as the hotel operator.

Warimpex, together with UBM, already invested in Katowice – the companies developed a 203-room business hotel, the angelo Katowice at 24 Sokolska St. The opening took place in March this year.

One of the brands which Louvre and Warimpex want to expand is already present in Katowice. The hotel of Campanile is localized at 48 Sowińskiego St. It features 76 rooms.
