Mre-Wrep is going to sell 28 parcels neighbouring the Makro Cash & Carry self-service wholesale stores in Poland. One of the plots is located at 25 Pukowca St. The Katowice site is the biggest from amongst the offered lands.
It covers 50 000 sq. meters and is situated near the 12 300 sq. meters Makro Cash & Carry outlet opened in 1999. The surrounding area is occupied by retail units, logistic bases and warehouses. Cushman & Wakefield, global real estate advisors, was chosen to support the sale transactions.
„Each of the potential buyers will be treated individually. It is possible to sell a group of plots or just one depending on customers needs. A plot lease is also taking into consideration” – said Marek Noetzel, Partner in Retail Department of Cushman & Wakefield.
Mre-Wrep, an owner of the plots, is managed by Metro Properties – a subsidiary of Metro Group, the second largest European shopping concern and third largest in the world. It has been operating in Poland since 1997 managing a total of 146 large sales area outlets including Makro Cash & Carry, Real, Media Markt and Saturn. Metro Group is one of the largest employers in the sector, employing 23 976 people.
