The City Hall launched a campaign which promotes Katowice as a place for business tourists. Named “Meetings Energy. Katowice MICE” (meetings, incentive, conferences, events), the campaign is based on spending time in such places as Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska, the Beskidy mountains, golf links and stud farms around Katowice, but first of all, is inviting to business meetings in the heart of the City – in “Spodek” and the nearest, future International Convention Center. The ICC is going to be the key for the promotional project.
Thanks to PLN 960 000, the campaign assumes brochures, videos and the webpage www.convention.katowice.eu and opening of a convention bureau. 70 percents of the amount is granted by EU funds.
