The modernization of „3 Stawy” will soon be completed. First results of the works now can be seen in the shopping center.
The comprehensive modernization of „3 Stawy” was commenced in March and will be concluded by the end of August this year, according to Apsys – manager of the mall. The works are worth PLN 12 million and are being conducted by Budecon. White, blue and green will be dominated colours of the building after the modernization. The re-branding will correspond to „Dolina Trzech Stawów” (Three Ponds Valley) located close upon the mall.
„3 Stawy” was opened in 1999 as one of the first shopping centers in the southern part of Poland. „After 15 years of operation we want to surprised our customers, who now can enjoy the first results of the modernization” – says Agnieszka Nizio, director of „3 Stawy” – „At present we are concluding the replacement of the mall’s flooring. Ceiling painting has been done where the checkouts are located. Moreover, the entrance zone is being remodeled where new retail units will be created. We are refurbishing the elevation using a new coloring. Also, works on decorative elements of stores entrances are being commenced and we are replacing the lighting. Suspended ceilings and furnitures – e.g. benches and trashcans – will be replaced during the summer holidays. The advertising pylon and new mall’s navigation system will soon be modernized as well” – Agnieszka Nizio added.
New retail units will be opened by the end of this year. At least four new stores will be created. The „3 Stawy” manager expects to hand over the retail units to tenants in September.
The shopping center is owned by Union Investment Real Estate. The company purchased the mall in 2008 for EUR 95 million making it the most significant transaction on the retail market in Poland that year. It was the first Polish acquisition of UIRE. In 2011, the center was awarded the Poland’s first Breeam In-Use certificate. „3 Stawy” is located at 60 Pułaskiego St.
