New brands in Silesia City Center

Silesia City Center (SCC) expanded its tenants list by new clothes brands. New stores will open LC Waikiki, Marc O’Polo and Penny Black. Also the mall’s leasing department confirms GAP and Starbucks premises to be opened next year in SCC.

LC Waikiki is one of Turkish’s leading textile manufacturers offering clothings for women, men and children. In SCC, the company sets up a retail unit of 898 sq. meters to be opened on 1st of March 2012. Marc O’Polo is a premium casual brand had founded in 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden and headquartered in Germany. Products of Marc O’Polo are available in almost 2 200 stores across Europe. Penny Black, part of Max Mara Fashion Group, is an Italian women fashion brand founded in 1978.

GAP offers clothing for the whole family since 1969. This American brand was established in San Francisco. Today, it is present in over 80 countries worldwide. Starbucks is the largest coffeehouse company in the world. The first coffee unit was opened in 1971 in Seattle. Now, the company manages more than 17 thousands stores in 55 countries.

“Both GAP and Starbucks are to be opened in the extended part of Silesia City Center. The 724 sq. meters GAP store will be located on so called Świętochłowicka Av., the cafe of Starbucks covering 100 sq. meters will be situated nearby on Nowy Square. We already singed lease agreements with both companies” – said Tomasz Pietrzak, press spokesman of SCC. An inauguration of GAP’s salesroom is planned for 18th of April 2012, Starbucks’ unit will be opened in spring 2012 as well.

The new part of Silesia City Center was opened in mid-October 2011. As a result, 60 new stores covering 20 000 sq. meters were delivered increasing the total number of retail units to 310 and the total rentable space to 86 000 sq. meters. The extension made Silesia City Center the fifth biggest shopping mall in Poland.
