The Upper Silesian Aviation Group (GTL), which manages Katowice International Airport, is going to issue a tender for leasing a parcel of land within the airport’s area. The plot is destined for a hotel building.
„GTL prepares currently tender documents, the company will call for a bid by the end of first quarter of 2012” – confirmed Cezary Orzech, press spokesman of Katowice Airport.
The subject plot covers an area of approximately 5 500 sq. meters. The property designed for the hotel is located in the close neighbourhood of the “B” air terminal and the “P1” car park. In the future, there will be a possibility to lease an adjacent plot of 4 500 sq. meters and to extend the hotel.
Term of the plot’s lease is 25 years. The hotel will comprise from 112 to 124 rooms of a 3-star accommodation standard and will have to offer an international booking system.
