October 2014 was the best tenth month of the year in the history of the Katowice International Airport (KTW).
The overall traffic amounted to 225 820 passengers, 16,3 thousand more (+7,8%) than in the same month last year.
From the beginning of 2014, 2 398 869 travelers were handled at the airport. This stands for 150 thousand people more (+6,7%) in comparison with the period from January to October 2013. The Upper Silesian Aviation Group, a management body of the airport, expects that 2014 will be a record-breaking year at KTW. Approximately 2,7 million passengers will be handled including about 1 million charter travelers (760 thousand in 2013).
