PKP PLK will rebuild three platforms of Katowice Railway Station

PKP Polish Railway Lines (PKP PLK S.A.), a company of PKP Group responsible for management of national railway network, is looking for a company which will modernize platforms 2, 3 and 4 of the Katowice main Railway Station. PLK invited bids in the last days of April.

An opening of the bids will take place on 13th of June 2011. The platforms and adjoining infrastructure as pedestrian tunnels and light signalling have to be redeveloped within 17 months. An estimated cost of the investment exceeds PLN 44 milion.

Menawhile, a redevelopment of the platform number 1 is still in progress since the Q4 2010. The works are conducting by Transkol Sp. z o.o.
