As is known since several weeks, a present localisation of the bus station will be moved from Szewczyka Sq. to Sądowa St. It is connected with the Railway Station redevelopment plan of Neinver which is going to build a mixed-use complex at Szewczyka Sq. Presently, the company is preparing a design documentation to obtain a planning permission for the project. However, the City of Katowice will be responsible for the investment financing. A total cost of this development is unknown as well as the construction start (not earlier than in 2011). The final project is going to be prepared in 6 months. After then more details can be disclosed. According to the daily Dziennik Zachodni, some part of the financing amount will be secured from the European Investment Bank PLN 500 million loan.
