Plant of Rieter will be expanded

Rieter Automotive Poland (RAP), which bought a plot and a factory’s building in the Panewniki district several weeks ago, plans to expand its plant in Katowice. The building where the RAP’s factory operates, had been previously renting by the company. The unit in Katowice manufactures noise reduction products for vehicles and hires 300 people. At present, RAP wants to develop the plant and to increase number of workers.

The investment in Katowice and Nowogard, which is the second location of the company in Poland, will cost approximately PLN 80 million in total. RAP will hire about 300 new employees among these two locations including 40 people holding university degrees.

According to the daily “Puls Biznesu”, Rieter Automotive Poland applies for a financial government support and will probably try to include the plant into the Katowice Special Economic Zone.
