One out of three companies, which submitted a tender for the Katowice’s City Center Redevelopment planner, filed a protest concerning the chosen offer. Polish-Spanish consortium of Redan, Apia XXI, Apia XXIAK., Biprokom – Kraków SA and Ec-One had earlier won the tender. The protest was filed by the consortium of Tebodin SAP-Projekt and IMB Asymetria. According to the procedure, the tender Committee has 10 days for a settlement. If the Committee accepts the protest, the won consortium will loose a commission. Otherwise, Tebodin SAP-Projekt and IMB Asymetria will have 10 days to file an appeal to the National Chamber of Appeal, which has to announce its decision in 15 days.
The project works will consist of two phases managing to Q3 2010. In the first instance, the project schedule assumes to design a new trams track-way and three concepts of the future market square, which will be submitted to the citizens opinion.
