On Monday, Wizz Air announced its second new route to be operated from the Katowice International Airport (KTW) this year. Today, the carrier advertises a new route to Sardinia, Italy, connecting Katowice with the city of Alghero.
The new service will be commenced on 18th of June, while the last flight is scheduled for 17th of September. The flights will take place once a week on Saturdays. Tickets are already on sale, prices start from PLN 249. It is the 28th route offered from Katowice Airport by Wizz Air.
Sardinia is the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea while Alghero is one of the most popular tourist destination of the island. The city is located in the north-west part of Sardinia.
Apart from Alghero, Wizz Air announced to open a new service to Liverpool last week from KTW.
