Millenium Inwestycje is conducting outfitting works on the sport center being erected within “Bażantowo” – the housing estate located in the Kostuchna district. Three new buildings of the complex will comprise approximately 10 000 sq. meters enabling to make different types of sport and leisure activities within the one location. It will be the first place of this type in Katowice.
The first facility of the center consists of a tennis hall with three courts, bowling club and an underground car park for 46 vehicles. The second building is designed to feature several functions as a squash hall, swimming pool and jacuzzi, 9 sweat rooms, 700 sq. meters fitness club and gym, changing rooms, bar, chamber hotel with 18 rooms and a conference hall. The last, third building houses a kindergarten, class rooms and a floor-heated gym hall adapted to play basketball, volleyball, handball and having a climbing wall.
“The company wants to create a perfect place to live for almost two thousand inhabitants of “Bażantowo”. That was one of the reasons to build the complex. It is difficult to find another center of this type in Poland prepared for such differential offer of sport activities in one place” – says Anna Boryczka, sales and marketing head specialist at Millenium Inwestycje.
The investor also expands the estate within diverse projects. “We commenced works on a senior residence, we are developing the next stage of the Modernist Enclave housing project and we still have some ideas to be implemented” – she adds.
The third building where the gym hall is situated will be opened in September when the school year begins. The first and the second facility will be delivered in the months to come. “The two buildings still have to be provided with fittings, inside finish and furnitures. It needs time” – says Bartłomiej Bargieł who supervises the works at Millenium Inwestycje.
The sport complex is located on Pijarska St. and was designed by the “Małeccy” architectural studio from Katowice.
