Sixty-nine studios design Kieślowski Faculty

Sixty-nine architectural studios from Poland and abroad were qualified to submit entries of a competition for an architectural and urban concept of a new seat of the Krzysztof Kieślowski Radio and Television Faculty.

The competition was announced in July 2010 by the Katowice Branch of the Association of Polish Architects (SARP Katowice). An expiration date of submitting competition entries is scheduled for 26th of November 2010.

Design of new WRiTV seat wanted

The Polish Architects Associations (SARP) in cooperation with the University of Silesia and the City Hall of Katowice invites architectural studios to submit proposals for a design of a new seat of the Krzysztof Kieślowski Radio and Television Faculty (WRiTV).

A chosen studio will prepare a detailed project’s specification based on a winning architectural design. The second and third prize are amounted respectively at PLN 30 000 and PLN 15 000.

Willem Jan Neutelings will give a lecture in Katowice

On 21st of May, Willem Jan Neutelings will give a lecture at the ING Bank Śląski seat in Katowice. The lecture is part of the series ‘Masters of Architecture’ aiming to continue an international discussion concerning the direction of the development of Katowice’s agglomeration. Willem Jan Neutelings was born in 1959 and he is one of the most interesting and talented Dutch architects.
