The syndicate of Silesian University and University of Economics in Katowice has received a grant from the Silesian Voivodship Office for the realization of the University Library. During the years 2009-2011, each of the Universities will be granted PLN 2 million per year (total: PLN 12 m). The development is co-financed by the European Regional Development Funds, the syndicate of two Univesities, the Silesian Voivodship Office and the City of Katowice. The aggregate total is PLN 79 453 600, grant out of the ERDF is PLN 52 828 698,64.
The construction works should begin this year as the bid for a general constructor will be decided on 6th of March (term moved from 2nd of March).
On 12th of February was signed a contract with the “Invest-Complex Sp. z o.o.” company from Gliwice as the chief of engineer.
