More than 78% of Katowice citizens support the construction of the International Convention Center (ICC) in the City. The result was obtained during a survey conducted after the fourth European Economic Congress (EEC) on behalf of PTWP Group, an organizer of the event.
According to the results, 40 percent of Katowice citizens definitely support the erection of the ICC and more than 38 percent of them claim that they rather support the development. Only 8,6 percent of the interviewees do not support the idea (2,9% – definitely do not support, 5,7% – rather do not support).
The Silesia Voivodeship’s citizens were asked the same question. The answers are very similar to those gave by people of Katowice (table below).
The survey concerning the International Convention Center was conducted among the City and the Voivodeship inhabitants by research company BCMM between 22nd of May and 6th of June 2012.
The research firm used a sample of respondents, of which 260 were adult citizens of Katowice and 400 were adult inhabitants of the Silesia Voivodeship. The survey included a personal interview in case of Katowice respondents and a telephone interview in case of the Voivodeship citizens.
