In March has run construction works of Reinhold Center at Wełnowiec district along Korfantego Av. To the end of 2009, this office complex will deliver 8 635 sq. m of leaseable space. Works are executing by Mostostal Warszawa. Currently, one of the buildings is under refurbishment and the second one is raising from the ground up. Both of them will connect a spacious atrium – a matchmark of the project.
Two months ago preceded an opening of bids for a general constructor of the University Library. It is a collaborative project of the Silesian Univeristy and University of Economics in Katowice. Seven companies and syndicates tendered for the contract. After offers checking, the chosen one is the syndicate of Mostostal Warszawa (Poland) and Acciona Infraestructuras (Spain) with a tender price PLN 52 990 439,75.
Bażantów housing estate is still expanding as the multifuctional complex covers area of 20ha. Currently, the Golden Enclave at the end of the park avenue represented by the “Millenium IQ²” and “Północny” buildings are finishing off. Apartments in “Północny” are already sold out and the building should be make available for tenants in a few weeks.
The City Hall of Katowice announced a qualification procedure for a package plan of the City Center’s land development. The plan should contain a study for two areas – the “Rondo-Rynek” site along Korfantego Avenue (6,7 ha) and the City Center area between railway line and DTŚ route (172 ha). Planning guidelines demand a particular reference to the last coordination plan of Tomasz Konior
The site is zoned for commercial purposes (office, hotel, retail). Developed with 4 buildings which can bring about 9 250 sq. m space after refurbishment. The buildings can be demolished for new developments.
The site is located in the area of the old Baildon Smelter along Chorzowska Street (a part of DTŚ expressway), in front of Silesia City Center shopping mall, approximately less than 1 km west from the Roundabout.
