The largest business conference under the patronage of José Manuel Barroso was opened by such luminaries as Marshall of the Sejm, Acting President of Poland Bronisław Komorowski, President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek, and President of Poland in 1990-1995 Lech Wałęsa.

Centrum Banku Śląskiego Sp. z o.o. is on the market since 1998, when the company was appointed to carry out an investment project in Katowice at the intersection of Sokolska and Chorzowska Streets. There are two buildings operating as an office and retail center: one known as ING Bank Śląski Headquarter located at 34 Sokolska Street and the Chorzowska 50 office building located at 50 Chorzowska Street.

EEC 2010 starts on Monday

The Second European Economic Congress 2010 in Katowice starts on Monday, 31st of May. During the three days of 60 sessions, more than 4 000 people of those who are most important for the European economy will participate in the event. Moreover, about 300 journalists and media representatives from Poland and other countries, 100 bodyguards will accompany the participants. The sessions will be held in eight localizations across the City.

flyLAL will operate from Katowice Airport

The Lithuanian air company flyLAL announced today the opening of an operational base at the Katowice International Airport. flyLAL will be the third operator, among Wizz Air and LOT, which established its operational base at the Airport. Flights from Katowice will be operated using Boeing 737-300 aircraft with Polish crew on board. For the present, a one aircraft will be based at the Airport, the number will increase to three in the future.
