The medusa group architectural studio from Bytom and SUD architectes responsible for a design of the Szewczyka Sq. redevelopment and the new Railway Station in Katowice join forces on the project. medusa group will design interiors of the future Galeria Katowicka which is the part of the project.
The studio is known for its exceptional and characteristic projects. An adaptation of a former granary for lofts in Gliwice
The PGD Group has officially opened a showroom of Infiniti cars in Katowice. After Warsaw, this is the second Infiniti Center in Poland. The showroom is located at 3 Ściegiennego St. in the Katowice Business Point office building.
The opening was celebrated by Jürgen Schmitz, Regional Director for Central and Eastern Europe of Infiniti. Six cars models will be exposed in the interiors of the showroom which covers area of 540 sq. meters.
Students of the University of Silesia will have a new public space for its disposal. A 100 meters long part of Bankowa Street was closed today for a car traffic and is going to be redeveloped into a public square. Bankowa is located in the area of the University’s buildings. This part of the City is designed for a campus in the future.
Parking places and architectural barriers will be removed, the square was designed to be pedestrian-friendly.
Exland Sp. z o.o. finished a first stage of its housing estate in the Panewniki district. The three four-storey buildings are located on Koszykowa Street. 48 apartments cover area from 51 to 90,7 sq. meters. Prices start at PLN 4 400. More than 70 percent of the offer is already sold. The housing estate is gated.
The developer plans to build four buildings with 64 apartments in a second stage.
Scientists from the Central Mining Institute (GIG) in Katowice finished a pilot test of underground coal gasification which had been conducting since 2007. The study of the researches was to find out about possibilities of underground gasification and to obtain hydrogen as a result. During the Thursday’s press conference, the scientists announced the researches were fully successful but the experiment needs to be continue.
