Extension of WST

The Katowice School of Technology (WST) in Katowice is expanding its seat located at 43 Rolna Street. A construction work started in the middle of 2010 is to be concluded this year. After the extension, the WST will got a new facility connecting two existing buildings of the school. It will be newly equipped and adapted in accordance with the latest standards of teaching of architecture, town planning, civil engineering and interior design.

Atrium Geo rises on Rolna St.

The Geo Group developer is continuing its housing scheme in the district of Brynów. Atrium Geo is located at 15 Rolna St. and will form a complex of 2 five-storey buildings with 120 apartments. Currently, the first building offering 60 apartments is under construction. It was scheduled for completion in April 2011 but the delivery date was postponed to the end of this year.

City Hall looks for prime contractor of NPRSO’s seat

The City Hall of Katowice issued today a limited invitation to tender for the execution of construction work on the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra’s new seat (NPRSO). The tender will be conducted in two stages. To file bids in the first stage, interested companies have time until 30th of May 2011.

In the first stage, companies’ experience, financial and technical capabilities are going to be evaluated.

Fast pace of work on Konduktorska St.

Builders of the first office building of the Upper Silesian Industrial Park (GPP) set the hectic pace for construction work. Late February, Budus SA – a prime contractor of the project – was finishing a first storey of the building. Now, construction of a sixth storey is under way.
