The housing estate market in Katowice is still the most immature in comparison with the biggest cities of Poland and prices hardly exceed PLN 5 100 per one square meter on average. However, developers active at the City’s market plan to start new residential schemes in the nearest future.
As it was in most of regional Polish cities, Katowice has been suffering from an outflow of residents over the recent years and the number of flats on the secondary market rose.
The European Investment Bank (EIB) is lending PLN 254,2 million (approx. EUR 65 million) to develop the cultural district of Katowice. The EIB funds will finance the construction of the International Convention Center (ICC), the new seat of the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra (NPRSO) and the connecting infrastructure in the cultural district, i.e. streets, utilities, sewerage, etc.

Construction work on the first building of the GPP Office Park was commenced late 2010 in the area of the Upper Silesian Industrial Park (GPP). Recently, the building’s structure was topped out. Meanwhile, the project was granted by the European Union. The funds will allow for implementation of the Tri-Generation system in the building.

The company also built organs for the Berlin Philharmonic, Warsaw Philharmonic and Academy of Music in Kraków.

Thirteen new brands joined a list of tenants of the expanding Silesia City Center (SCC). Lease contracts were signed with Lacoste, La Promessa, Harpers Shoes, Rolex, Clarks, Guess Footwear, Stradivarius, Massimo Dutti, Claire’s, Lindex, Furla, Home&You and TUI.
