Clean Coal Technologies Center almost finished

The Budus S.A. building company is concluding a construction work on the Clean Coal Technologies Center (CCTW) located at 1 Gwarków Sq., a joint project of the Central Mining Institute (GIG) and the Institute for Chemical Processing of Coal in Zabrze. At the same time, the Radiometry Laboratory is being built near by.

First element of foundation slab has been laid

Works are in full swing at the construction site of the new Railway Station and Galeria Katowicka. A few weeks ago, the ground for foundation of Galeria Katowicka was started to be stabilized with lean concrete. Tonight, a first part of the foundation slab was poured with concrete.

Building permit for Supersam

Prime Properties, a subsidiary company of Centrum Development and Investments Poland (CDI), obtained a valid building permit for the Supersam retail center which will be raised on Piotra Skargi St. in place of the existing building with the same name.

The new Supersam will be a three-storey facility offering almost 20 000 sq. meters for rent with about 100 retail and service units.

Katowice will contract a loan to redevelop the City Center

ICC: change of prime contractor

On 17th of June, the City Hall decided a competitive tender for construction work on the International Convention Center (ICC). The most advantageous bid was made by the consortium lead by Grupa 3J S.A. However, two companies of twelve tendering for the contract – Polimex-Mostostal S.A. and Warbud S.A. both based in Warsaw – appealed from the decision in the National Appeal Chamber (NAC).
