Final concrete works

Mostostal Warszawa, a prime contractor of the Silesian Philharmonic’s extension, strongly advanced a construction work on the building last weeks. A raw structure of the new five-storey part was topped-out lately and works are carrying out in the interiors. Now, final construction works on a concrete structure are taking place at the back of the site. The Philharmonic will be extended by 2 066 sq. meters to reach the total surface of 5 252 sq. m.

First tower crane at the construction site

Works on the new Railway Station and Galeria Katowicka are to be entered into a next stage – construction of bearing pillars and ceilings. To make the works more efficient the first tower crane was installed at the site last week. There will be seven more such cranes.

Meanwhile, the present stage includes works on the ground level where a subsoil is stabilized with lean concrete necessary to prepare a foundation slab.

Francuska Park

Francuska Park Sp. z o.o. prepares to build a residential complex situated in the junction of Francuska and Lotnisko streets. It will be one of the biggest housing estates’ projects launched recently in Katowice. Number of apartments will total 650. Construction work on Francuska Park is to be started this autumn.

This residential scheme will be located just 5-minutes drive from the downtown of Katowice within an easy reach to the “3 Stawy” shopping center

Mostostal Warszawa is the best for AITC

Mostostal Warszawa S.A., a building company, achieved the highest score of the tender for prime contractor of the Advanced Information Technology Center. The company’s offer was chosen from twelve bids. The only criteria of the evaluation was the lowest price.

The investment is planned by the University of Economics in Katowice. Now, according to tender procedures, the remaining eleven companies can protest the decision made by the University by 22nd of August.
