Silesia City Center houses Zara Home

Silesia City Center (SCC) added another decor and linens brand to the portfolio of tenants – Zara Home has opened its first store in the Upper Silesia region.

It will be the fourth location of the brand in Poland after Warsaw, Kraków and Poznań. The store will cover an area of 431,88 sq. meters and was created within the re-commercialization of the mall’s retail spaces.

Zara Home specializes in home decor and linens.

Fitch revises outlook on Katowice to positive

Fitch Ratings has revised the Katowice’s outlook to positive from stable and affirmed the City’s long-term foreign and local currency rating at “A-“. Fitch has also affirmed the City’s national long-term rating at “AA+(pol)” with a stable outlook.

The rating action follows the recent revision of the outlook on Poland’s long-term foreign and local currency Issuer Default Ratings (IDRs) to positive from stable, as the City of Katowice’s long-term foreign currency rating is constrained by the sovereign rating.

Katowice will have direct connection with Georgia

Wizz Air, the largest low-fare and low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe announced on Thursday that it will add a new route from Katowice International Airport to Kutaisi in Georgia. Katowice will be one of only five cities in Europe having direct, low-fare air connection with Georgia offered by Wizz Air.

The new Katowice – Kutaisi service will be inaugurated on 18th of May. Tickets are already on sale. This route will operate two days per week: on Tuesday and Saturday.
