From the beginning of 2012, 29 new shops were opened in Silesia City Center (SCC). According to the mall’s representatives, the re-commercialization strategy implemented in 2011 after the extension opening is focused on attracting unique brands which have not previously been present on the local market.
Twelve of the 29 brands have chosen Silesia City Center for its debut in Upper Silesia – the list includes H&M’s COS, Zara Home of Inditex and the Ania Kruk jewelery store. The number of unique brands amounts to 25% of the whole offer of SCC. This uniqueness is presented as the biggest asset of the shopping center. “Changes in our offer involves both the upscale market brands as well as popular chain retailers, e.g. Terranova, Mohito and Sinsay” – says Ilona Szafer, leasing director at Silesia City Center.
The process of re-commercialization encompassed the area of 5923, 21 sq. meters. Apart from the clothing store, the new offer was also improved by health & beauty services, restaurants and cafes. The food court in the mall gathers more than 4 million customers every year.
