Only a week left to commence one of the most representative discussions about Europe’s future – the European Economic Congress 2012 (EEC). The forum will be inaugurated by Bronisław Komorowski, President of Poland. Ceremonial opening will take place on 14th of May in the Krystyna Bochenek’s Culture Center at 2 Sejmu Śląskiego Sq.
The fourth edition of the Congress will be held from 14th to 16th of May at eleven locations across Katowice. The leading themes will be “Europe 2020”, the roadmap of the European energy policy towards 2050, the “old” and “new” Europe – the relations, differences and competitive edges. The forum will also include such topics as European investors in Asia, the cooperation between Europe and China and general debates concerning energy, finances, transport, mining, metallurgy, heat generation, gas market and construction.
“We have invited university students and graduates to work with us on the organization of the EEC. To execute a unique project promoting initiatives executed thanks to EU finding, we have enlisted the help of artists, designers and the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice” – said Wojciech Kuśpik, initiator of the event and President of the Management Board of the PTWP SA Group.
The organizers expect about 6000 guests from Poland and abroad. Official registration for the Congress was closed on 4th of May. Now the registration is possible only for the reserve list at eecpoland.eu.
