The Association of Business Services Leaders (ABSL) starts an academy for students, graduates and professionals. The initiative will be conducted in cooperation with three universities and the City of Katowice. Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) is a partner of the course.
The ABSL Academy is a training programme preparing participants to learn the fundamentals of tools and techniques applied in business services sector, gain knowledge on the full range of end-to-end business processes, test their knowledge and skills in practical business cases and to work with professional coaches of ABSL member companies.
Apart from ABSL representatives, the programme gathered seven companies from this sector operating in the Silesian voivodeship (Capgemini, Cooper&Standard, Future Processing, IBM, PwC, Rockwell Automation and Unilever). The programme of the classes was also prepared by the Silesian University of Technology, University of Economics in Katowice and the University of Silesia.
The offer is addressed to all who wants to improve its professional skills and to work in the business services sector. Any specific requirements were not described by the organizers, however very good command of English is essential as the course will be conducted in this language.
Candidates can send their applications at www.abslacademy.pl. The first training starts in November this year and is scheduled for over 100 hours of classes (workshops and case studies). Also, 100 hours of e-learning CIMA course has to be studied by the trainees. „To finish the programme, the partakers have to pass the CIMA exam. The training is free of charge, however there is a PLN 1 700 fee required for the exam. We want to recruit 30 participants for the start. The number can be increased, if it is necessary” – explains Elena Zenoff, leader of the ABSL Academy Silesia and planning manager at Unilever Poland Services.
