Three years ago, on 9th of March 2010, the angelo Hotel Katowice hosted its first visitor. Since this time almost 130 000 guests stayed at the hotel. Vienna International, which manages the facility, summarizes the three years of activity.
The 4-star angelo Hotel Katowice is specially tailored to the needs of business travellers in the region. It boasts a 1 350 sq. meters conference center with 12 individual conference rooms.
“When we were opening the hotel three years ago, our goal was to create a friendly accommodation facility to be chosen by customers because of the high quality of services and wide offer. I think we succeeded. Number of positive opinions given via online hotel search sites, awards and the increasing number of customers and conference guests confirmed the success” – commented Tomasz Piórkowski, general manager at the angelo Hotel Katowice.
On its third anniversary, the hotel can look back on numbers: nearly 130 000 guests, 5 580 conferences and events, 6 500 cups of coffee were served in the Jazz Bar. Guests ordered 1 460 steaks, 7 000 liters of orange juice and 8 620 bottles of vine.
Guests have included international famous persons including Skank Anansie, Iggy Pop, Jane Birkin and Marcin Gortat. The hotel has cooperated with organizers of a variety of events from international conferences such as the European Economic Congress to interesting sport and cultural undertakings like Tour de Pologne or OFF Festival. Also it was the official accommodation for the Polish basketball national team in 2012.
The angelo Hotel Katowice offers 181 superior rooms, 5 junior suites and 17 suites with kitchenette, fitness studio and sauna, underground parking spaces. According to Colliers International, the hotel was the market leader amongst all hotels in Katowice which performed above the City average achieved results in 2012.
