Renovation works of the hotel at 1A Bytkowska St. are still progressing. Havre company which is financing the project, predicts the openning in the first quarter of 2010. This 4-star hotel, localized in the north part of Katowice near “Wojewódzki Park Kultury i Wypoczynku” – the second biggest city park in Europe – and the seat of Katowice’s International Exhibition & Fairs Centre, is going to offer 168 rooms including Executive chambers, apartment and rooms for disabled people. All the rooms will be equipped with LCD, mini bar, safe box, fast internet wire, air-conditioning control. The Executive chambers will provide an additional TV, coffee and tea maker and ironing set. Most of the rooms are prepared for non-smokers. An attended car park, library, fitness club, restaurant will be given at guests disposal. Moreover, a conference facility offers four halls full-featured with portable LCDs, sliding screens, audio-visual equipment.
The hotel will be managed by Best Western International, a global hotel chain with 4100 units around the world. The company has already inaugurated a pre-opening office, started to recruit employees and launched a prototype website.
