Building permit approved for J.W. Construction

J.W. Construction obtained a building permit for its residential project planned on Tysiąclecia St. Nevertheless, the developer plans to start the construction work not till next year.

The company wants to erect two buildings within the first stage – one 17-storey and one 11-storey. There will be 149 apartments covering a total area of 7 387 sq. meters and retail units. “We expect the works will be launched in the first or the second quarter of 2013 and will take from 18 to 20 months” – said Małgorzata Ostrowska, director of sales department at J.W. Construction.

The studio of “Moska i Rachuba” from Chorzów is responsible for the architectural design of the buildings.

The new buildings will be situated on Tysiąclecia St. in the central part of the “Tysiąclecia” housing estate. The construction plot is an out-of-use and wild greenery grown land and is located in a close proximity of the “Kukurydze” buildings. “Tysiąclecie” is the biggest housing development of Katowice currently inhabited by approximately 23 thousand people.

J.W. Construction is the largest housing estates’ developer company in Poland. The firm had already invested in Katowice on Bałtycka St. in 2008 where the “Uroczysko” housing estate consisting of three multi-family three-storey buildings was delivered.
