Square of PNRSO new venue named after Wojciech Kilar

The City Council of Katowice has decided that the square situated in the junction of Roździeńskiego Av. and Olimpijska St. will be named after Wojciech Kilar. The square was officially opened on Friday.

American architecture critic visited PNRSO new seat

On Thursday, Henry Urbach, an American curator and architecture critic, visited the construction site of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra’s new building. Tomasz Konior, head architect of the venue, invited Henry Urbach to learn more about the project and to suggest artists who will prepare an art work to be designed specially for the building.

Footbridge grows over Olimpijska St.

Strabas is building a footbridge that will link the new seat of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra and the International Convention Center. The development now is finally taking its shape after a few months of slowdown.

Strabag and the City Hall of Katowice signed a contract for the construction of the footbridge in December last year. The City will pay the company gross PLN 10,8 million for the execution of construction work.
