Cushman & Wakefield, a one of the leading global real estate services firm, revealed today the amount of retail space that has been already leased in Galeria Katowicka. The company has successfully let more than 70% of the space in the shopping mall.
“Companies’ interest in this shopping scheme is very strong. Statistically, for each retail premise designed in Galeria Katowicka, there are three potential tenants willing to lease the space” – Piotr Kaszyński, partner and head of retail department at Cushman & Wakefield, said during the Property Forum Katowice in November.
Galeria Katowicka is already known as one of the major retail projects in Central and Eastern Europe. The opening of the shopping center is scheduled for 2013. The total leaseable area of the mall will be 46 000 sq. meters.
Tenants which have been already signed include: Zara, Reserved, C&A, RTV EURO AGD, Bershka, Stradivarius, Pull & Bear, Oysho, Massimi Dutti, Cropp, House, Mohito, Sin Say, Sephora, Douglas, KappAhl, Solar, Mango, United Colors of Benetton, iSpot. The shopping center will also feature the Stokrotka supermarket and the city’s first multiplex cinema of the Multikino brand.
The retail space in the Railway Station – which was opened on 29th of October this year – has been 100% let. Tenants include: McDonald’s, Subway, Starbucks, So! Coffee, Natura Drogerie and Matras.
There is also an underground bus terminal, being developed as part of the investment, which is linked to Galeria Katowicka, the Railway Station’s main hall and Szewczyka square. It is scheduled for completion in the turn of 2012 and 2013.
The investor of Galeria Katowicka is Neinver Polska and PKP S.A. as well as UK’s Meyer Bergman. The architectural design has been prepared by SUD Architectes. Cushman & Wakefield is the exclusive letting agent of Galeria Katowicka and retail space at the Railway Station.
