The contract between Echo Investment and Alma Market was signed in February and has been concluded for a period of 10 years. The value of the contract totals PLN 12,5 million. Alma Delikatesy has leased the area of nearly 1 900 sq. meters in Echo Investment’s Galeria Libero.

“We have signed a lease in the newly-built shopping center in Katowice, which is located in the most dynamically developing part of the city. We can see a lot of potential in this district as regards our next shop in Katowice because this is where we have so far been operating our only Delikatesy Alma. We are also satisfied with the area we were offered in the facility, the location of the delicatessen on the ground floor, directly next to an exit from the car park will allow our customers to shop quickly and conveniently, which is crucial these days” – said Mariusz Wojdon, vice-president of the board at Alma Market.
“We have chosen Alma because it has operated in this part of the city for many years. It is a recognizable and popular brand among residents of Katowice. I am sure that Alma’s customers, who are used to top quality and a broad range of products, will appreciate the offer as well as the architecture and functional solutions in Galeria Libero. The choice of this concrete retailer was determined also by the location of Libero. I mean the proximity of some of the most popular districts in Katowice, which are characterized by high purchasing power” – commented Marcin Materny, director of Echo Investment’s shopping center department.
Galeria Libero will be built on a plot with an area of 54 000 sq. meters. The facility will offer a retail and entertainment area of 42 000 sq. meters which will be located on three floors. Apart from shops and service outlets as well as some of the most important chains and a supermarket, the shopping center will also include a very extensive entertainment and gastronomy offer which will consist of a 7-screen cinema, snooker club, play area for children, squash and badminton courts, restaurants offering access to a terrace. The facility is to be developed on Kościuszki St.
The MOFO Architekci architectural studio is the author of the design of Galeria Libero. The investor will soon announce results of a competition concerning the development of a public square which is to be located in front of the shopping and entertainment center.
