Echo Investment is preparing to launch its second development project in Katowice. This time it will be a shopping center located in the southern part of the City.
The developer is now involved in the investment process of the A4 Business Park office complex. Works on the second building out of three planned facilities have recently been finished. In the meantime, the company is making up its retail concept to be built in the junction of Kolejowa and Kościuszki streets. The property with a total area of 5,4 ha was purchased by the developer in January 2010.
„It will be a retail and entertainment center offering almost 42 000 sq. meters of gross leasable area. About 130 shops and 1 600 parking places was included in the project” – said Wojciech Gepner, press spokesman of Echo Investment.
The planned shopping center will be one of key elements of the so called Sub-center South („Subcentrum Południe”) that has been foreseen in the new study of Katowice land use conditions and directions, adopted by resolution in April 2012.
Echo Investment informed that more details about the project would be released during a presentation to be held in March this year.
