Echo Investment is preparing to launch its first retail scheme in Katowice. Echo Katowice will be located in the junction of Kościuszki and Kolejowa St. While the designing work goes on, the developer has released a video presenting an interior model of the shopping center.
Echo Investment did not disclose the exact date when the construction work would be commenced. A building permit has not yet been given for the undertaking and the company plans to file a motion for the permit in the second quarter of 2016. By now, the developer obtained a decision on the environmental conditions concerning the investment process.
A construction detailed project is now being prepared by the Mofo Architekci studio from Kraków, which is responsible for the architectural design of the building. The interior model of the mall was presented in the meantime. The model does not show details of the retail space but was created to present the characteristic of the interiors – glazed panels and storefronts, wide passages and open spaces, what will ensure access of natural daylight, according to the investor.
„Consumers want more than yet another shopping center. They want to spend their time in a trendy and friendly place. The bold, modern, minimalistic Galeria Echo project will create the center of southern Katowice. With perfected architectural details and engineering solutions, the project will meet the most sophisticated standards of functionality, comfort and quality of service” – the developer wrote on a dedicated web page of the project.
The new shopping center will offer 42 000 sq. meters of gross leasable space and will be built on a 53 600 sq. meters plot. 1 540 parking places will be put at customers disposal within a five-storey car park. The building will be BREEAM certified.
