According to Neinver Polska, preliminary works at Szewczyka Sq. will start on 15th of August and it will cause first traffic changes. That day part of the Square near Młyńska St. will be closed. The first step of the investment is connected with preparatory works which include a relocation of underground utilities.
From that day on, vehicular traffic from Młyńska St. to Słowackiego and Mikołowska Streets will be impossible. Most of buses routes will not be changed for the moment except buses number 910 and 600. A new bus line number 900 is going to be launched for a better travelers service. Following changes in the bus routes and timetables will be implementing successively depending on works progress.
Passengers using the public transport will be informed two weeks before about the final closing of Szewczyka Sq.
A next step of the redevelopment will launch on 1st of September when start of renovation of the platform number 1 is planned to commence. A main hall of the Railway Station will service passengers until the half of September. Then, after closing the main hall, a temporary station will be opened for passengers on 18th of September.
