Almost 4 thousand people work every day to prepare Galeria Katowicka for the opening scheduled on 18th of September at 10 a.m. Media representatives had today a chance to see how the last outfitting works shape the mall.

About 130 companies are involved in arrangement of 250 stores and retail units for tenants of the shopping center. Another 20 firms still work for the prime contractor of the building, Strabag. The official date of the Galeria Katowicka’s delivery is planned for 17th of September when the 7-storey facility will be presented to invited guests. The center will be opened for all visitors the following day.
To make the retail premises easily accessible, 32 staircases including 25 moving stairways as well as 17 elevators will be put at customers disposal. Glass slabs of the huge skylight, which makes the interiors brighter, covers approximately 4 000 sq. meters. Together with the mall, the car park for 1 200 vehicles will be opened.
Currently tests are being carried out on the building management system which involves 155 speakers of the voice communication system. Last pavement works are also underway outside the building at the section between 3 Maja St. and Szewczyka Sq. and are expected to be done this Friday.
The investor claims that 1 500 people will work in the center. Opening hours were also revealed today:
