After several months when a construction work on the first building of GPP Business Park was scheduling off, construction crews come back to the site now. The works suspension was connected with necessity of changing a building company. Meanwhile, the project was nominated for the Green Building Awards.
“Previously, the works had been conducted by Budus S.A. The company was contracted to execute a raw state of the building. Afterwards, we had to choose another firm – which is Spec Bau Polska – to finish the building’s interior and elevation. Due to the works suspension, a delivery date of the first building was moved from Q1 to Q2 2012” – said Justyna Bartecka, Marketing and Development Manager at GPP.
The first stage of the development comprises of “green building” which offers about 7 500 sq. meters of office space where energy-saving solutions are going to be implemented. GPP makes efforts to obtain a BREEAM certificate for the project. “Our aim is to receive the highest mark, excellent or outstanding” – Bartecka explains. As the future “green building”, it was nominated for the Green Building Awards*. The competition is organized by the Association of Green Building Professionals and nominates past, present and future projects in the pipeline, which have been recognized, by BREEAM or LEED as confirmed sustainable developments. The GPP’s building is amongst 36 “green projects” chose from countries of Central and Eastern Europe. The contest will be decided on 30th of November 2011 in Warsaw.
