The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), which awards projects and marketing campaigns in regional competitions across the globe every year, has nominated Silesia City Center (SCC) for the Solal Marketing Awards 2012.
The Katowice’s shopping center was valued for the last year’s grand opening of its extension with attendance of Paris Hilton. Together with shopping facilities form Italy, Turkey, the Netherlands and South Africa, SCC will be judged in the category of “Grand Opening, Extension & Renovation”.
The ICSC’s Solal Awards bring together the very best of retail marketing across Europe and South Africa to reward those with the most effective campaigns. Recognizing best practice and outstanding marketing performance, the Solal Awards are seen as the most prestigious throughout the industry.
Awards ceremony will take place in Budapest, Hungary between 6th and 8th of June, 2012.
The grand opening of the Silesia City Center’s extension was attended by approximately 300 000 visitors and more than 280 journalists and press photographers from Poland, Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic, Ukraine and the United Stated. The Advertising Value Equivalents (AVE) of over 1 000 press, online, radio and TV publications exceeded EUR 2,5 million.
